The movie starts on a very promising note. The intro song followed by “Rai Rai Rara” creates the right energy, and the first 30 minutes flow really well without any dull moments. The setup is engaging, and it immediately pulls you into the world of the film.👍👍
That said, the love track involving Jahnavi Kapoor was a major letdown for me. Most of those scenes felt outdated and unnecessarily stretched. In fact, some portions might even make family audiences uncomfortable, and they don’t really add much value to the story.👎👎🤮
The biggest strength of the first half is undoubtedly the pre-interval and interval block🔥🔥The buildup, emotions, and execution work brilliantly, delivering exactly the kind of high you expect from a big-screen entertainer👌👌👌Ram Charan, Buchi Babu, and A.R. Rahman deserve full credit here because this stretch lands perfectly.
After the interval, the wrestling transformation sequence and the first wrestling match are easily among the best moments in the film. The entire 20-minute stretch, backed by the “Massa Massa” song, is pure commercial cinema and is sure to be a crowd favorite🔥🔥 The energy in these scenes is fantastic👌👌
Unfortunately, once the story moves towards the national-level competition, the film starts losing steam👎The narrative becomes fairly predictable and lacks the same excitement that the earlier portions generated. The final 30 minutes are more story-driven, and I appreciate Buchi Babu’s courage in focusing on the story rather than forcing mass moments with a star like Ram Charan. However, the climax, while decent, doesn’t deliver the emotional payoff or high that the film seems to build towards👎
Another issue is that several supporting characters don’t get proper closure. Many character arcs feel incomplete, which leaves the ending slightly unsatisfying👎
On the technical side, A.R. Rahman is the standout performer🔥🔥. His background score is exceptional and elevates several scenes throughout the movie. Ram Charan also deserves special mention👌👌He has evolved tremendously as an actor, and his performance carries the film during many crucial moments.
As for Buchi Babu, this is a mixed bag👍👎There are scenes where he handles emotions and mass moments like an experienced filmmaker, but there are also portions where the screenplay feels inconsistent and ordinary. The lack of consistency prevents the movie from becoming something truly special👍👎
Overall: The film has some genuinely terrific moments, especially the interval block and wrestling sequences. It also benefits from Ram Charan’s committed performance and A.R. Rahman’s outstanding music. At the same time, the inconsistent screenplay, weak romantic track, and ordinary second half hold it back from reaching its full potential.
