The movie starts off on a very flat note👎. The first hour is slow and doesn’t really engage much👎. Things finally become interesting once the Korean concept is introduced. That entire 20–25 minute stretch is the best part of the film—it’s well executed, entertaining, and keeps you invested👌. The scenes leading up to the interval are decent, and Thaman’s background score works well there👌👌
The second half also begins on a positive note👍, but after the first 15 minutes, the film completely loses its grip👎. The screenplay turns illogical, clumsy, and boring👎👎. It keeps dragging without offering anything exciting👎. If not for Satya’s hilarious one-liners👌 and impeccable comic timing, the second half would have been a complete disappointment. His scenes are the only moments that genuinely entertain and keep the audience going👌. Tollywood seriously needs to utilize Satya’s talent much better because he’s still highly underused.
Varun Tej delivers a decent performance👍 and does what’s required, but Satya is undoubtedly the show-stealer👌
Thaman’s songs are a major letdown—not a single track stands out👎. His background score is decent though; at times it even feels like he reused some leftover themes from OG, which still suits this film👍
The production values are surprisingly poor👎 The AI-generated visuals, especially during the climax, look extremely cheap🤮👎 and take away whatever impact the scene could have had👎
Merlapaka Gandhi comes up with a good core idea👍 and handles a few comedy blocks really well👍. However, the biggest issue is the screenplay👎. It’s inconsistent, slow, and loses focus, especially in the second half where the film feels stretched and directionless👎
Overall: A decent first half👍 followed by a weak and dragged second half👎👎. Satya’s comedy and one-liners are the biggest positives and almost single-handedly saved the movie from disaster
Verdict: Below-average👎👎. Watch it only if you’re a fan of Satya’s comedy, or else wait for its OTT release.
